The Original Bulldog Thumb Protector

User Instructions: The Bulldog Thumb Protector can be custom fit to the shape and size of your thumb by heating it and molding it around your thumb while still warm. In order to custom fit the Bulldog to your thumb, follow these easy steps:

• Bring a small pan of water to almost boiling.
• Place the Bulldog in the water for approximately 7-10 seconds. Keep a fork or other metal utensil under the Bulldog while in the water.
• Take the Bulldog out of the water and allow 3-4 seconds for it to start to cool. For best results, start to mold the Bulldog as soon as it cools enough to handle.
• Once the Bulldog is cool enough to handle, place it over your thumb and mold it to your thumb by applying slight pressure. (NOTE: This step can be repeated several times - simply repeat steps 2-4 until you get a comfortable fit.)
• When the Bulldog completely cools, you can trim anyway any excess with a sharp knife or scissors.
• It is important to make sure that the top half of your thumb is completely covered so as to provide a hard, slick surface between your thumb, the rope, and the saddle horn while dallying.

The Bulldog will fit inside the thumb portion of most custom fitted roping gloves or can be used with a cotton roping glove.

CAUTION: Team roping is an inherently dangerous activity.
